Welcome to Drama 2024
Looking forward to an exciting year ahead in Drama for 2024.
Our drama highlights last year included our end of year performances at Tara Theatre in December with our production an original musical-comedy ‘Quicksilver’ performed by our Senior students and “The Glass Slipper” performed by our Junior students. Students had an opportunity to show off their drama skills by participating in the Parramatta Eisteddfod in May - June 2023 and the Ryde and Hawkesbury Eisteddfods held in August. Another highlight was seeing our graduating students at the IMEB Graduation Ceremony held in April. We look forward to seeing our graduating students for 2024 receive their Associate Diplomas in May 2024.
In 2024 students will have an opportunity to perform at the Parramatta Eisteddfod which will begin early May. This competition gives new students as well as experienced ones the chance to perform their work on stage in front of an audience and an adjudicator.
Our second Eisteddfod for the year is Ryde Eisteddfod which begins in term 3, 2024. Entries will close in April.
The written Theory Exams for all students in Speech and Drama Grades 8 and above will be held early September, 2024. The Practical Speech and Drama Examinations will be held late term 3 - early term 4.
